ABOUT US
At Gairloch Dental Practice, we aim to provide a high standard of dental care in a relaxed, friendly, efficient and safe environment.
Situated on the shore in the village of Gairloch, we provide friendly local dental care throughout the scattered villages and crofting townships from Kinlochewe to Dundonnell and beyond. We have many patients making a 4 hour round trip to be seen by our dentist, Dr Pickering, and also welcome a considerable number of visitors to the area who need dental treatment.
OUR SERVICES
Routine Exams
During an exam the dentist conducts a thorough examination of the teeth, gums and general health of the mouth. X-rays are often taken as part of the examination
A check-up allows your dentist to see if you have any dental problems and helps you maintain a healthy mouth. We believe in dealing with dental problems early or if possible preventing them all together.
Dental Hygiene
A hygiene visits involves a Scale & Polish, removing staining and oral hygiene advice. Regular visits means your teeth are clean to ensure optimal dental health, avoid tooth decay, remove bacteria that can worsen decay and improve general health.
At Gairloch Dental Practice hygiene visits are available to registered and non registered patients.
Dental Fillings
White and silver fillings are available.
Fillings keep cavities from developing into worse issues, and can also keep teeth looking their best.
Dentures, Veneers & Crowns
Full dentures, part dentures, both acrylic and metal can be made within a small time frame. We pride ourselves on having our own dental laboratory - which means denture repairs and additions can be available within 24 hours.
Crowns and veneers are also available.
Teeth Whitening
We offer two safe and effective teeth whitening treatments to give you a whiter smile. Depending on the product your personally designed mouth trays can be worn overnight or for brief periods through the day.
Thanks to having our own dental laboratory, we can make your individual mouth trays within 24 hours.
Emergency Dentistry
We will always aim to accommodate any patient in pain, registered or non registered.
Dental emergencies during opening hours – please telephone the surgery. You will be given advice and an appointment within 24 hours.
